Observatory for the Granville Terre & Mer local authority

Further information Further information

The Granville Terre & Mer local authority has issued a request for proposals, seeking a study on tourism supply, flows, and impacts in the region. Murmuration is responding to this call for tenders in collaboration with ID-Tourisme, a specialized consultancy firm focusing on tourism matters.

Murmuration is producing an interactive dashboard for the local authority. It includes a section on tourism analysis and another on the environmental impact of tourism.

Murmuration's dashboard provides visual representations of various aspects of tourism analysis, including the following:

  • The analysis of tourism offerings (Accommodation, Restaurants, Shops/Attractions) using Tourinsoft data. This analysis includes insights into the geographical distribution of these offerings, their evolution throughout the year, and their status on specific dates,

  • The analysis of tourist flows and behaviors utilizing Orange Flux Vision data.

The second phase of the study focuses on examining the environmental conditions in the region and assessing the influence of tourism. Three key indicators are analyzed and compared alongside visitor statistics:

  • Land artificialization,
  • Air quality,
  • Vegetation health.

This study will enable the Granville local authority to acquire and use new tools for evaluating and monitoring the environmental effects of tourism and its associated flows. This will facilitate more effective management of their tourism strategy.
