Study conducted for the Departmental Tourism Agency of Pyrénées Atlantiques to project the consequences of climate change on the territory.   Murmuration provides maps and charts on the following indicators:
  • Temperatures
  • Extreme events: tropical nights, hot days, frost days, ice days
  • Sea level rise on the Atlantic coast
  • Snow coverage in the Pyrenean massif
These projections are based on IPCC scenarios and are available through 2100.   The goal for ADT 64 is to anticipate the evolution of environmental conditions in its territory to adapt tourist infrastructure and offerings. This is particularly crucial for winter sports tourism in the context of decreasing snow coverage.
